Little Cabin Home On The Hill is the only cover song on the new vinyl SUN Sessions. The song, composed in 1948 by Bill Monroe and Lester Flatt, was first heard by Hämpi Ruf many years ago on the vinyl “Elvis Country” and later in the Sun Sessions version of the legendary “Million Dollar Quartet” with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. Looking for a duet song with the US musician Chuck Mead for the LP, it was very quickly clear that it had to be this song – newly arranged as a duet by Hämpi and his Nashville Rebels.

This song is dedicated to everybody going through tough times. You’ll make it!
With “I Wanna Hold You” we release a 2nd song of our vinyl record after “Little Cabin Home” before the official record release on 29.04.2022 in Zurich – an original composition by Hämpi, arranged by Nashville Rebels. 
The sad song describes the pain when you lose your love. But life has to go on, so Hämpi gave the song a lilting melody and added some fun elements to the lyrics. Despite pain and sadness, the song should cheer you up and let you look forward – and remind you that you should hold on as long as you can and as often as you can!
Riversdown Boogie
Riversdown Boogie is the first song I wrote for our band’s first vinyl record SUN SESSIONS. My English teacher at Riversdown UK told me on the first day of school: write a song about this school! I told him that I hadn’t written a song in a couple of years and this would certainly be no different in a week’s time. Riversdown in Southern England ist for sure one of themost beautiful and best schools, but for sure also one of the most secluded. No pub, no distractions, nothing. After two lonely nights, I had my Riversdown Boogie.
